Linda grew up on a dairy farm in New Jersey, the Garden State. She came to DC after graduating from William Smith College. Upon arriving in DC, she did Graduate work in Travel Administration and Tourism Development at GW, thinking that she would like to participate in the latter. While attending GW, Linda worked as a tour guide, having secured a DC Tour Guide License. However, she obtained her real estate license when doing research for her Thesis on Relocation Services and sold her first home within 1 week of obtaining her license. She met her husband on that first sale as well… he was the Home inspector, George Pettie.
Linda Pettie of the “Pettie-Tubbs Team” has dominated in residential home sales in the Capitol Hill marketplace since 1983. Her team has ranked in the Top 1% of sales of nationally and has been recognized by The Washingtonian Magazine as some of DC’s finest real estate professionals.
In 1996, she and her husband also developed a very successful luxury 10 Room Inn at Deep Creek Lake and ran it for 20 plus years with a full on-site staff, simultaneously managing a very successful Real Estate business. Her hospitality experience developed strengths of financial acumen, property presentation and communicating with different personality types.
Linda loves the outdoors finding time to retreat to her mountain home at Deep Creek with her husband George Pettie. Linda is also active with volunteer work as a docent at the Washington DC Botanic Gardens, and recently helped raise over $2000 for the Whitman Walker Health Clinic sewing face masks.
Linda’s energy and tenacious spirit brings a wealth of knowledge to the home selling process as guided by her ability to educate clients on how to achieve the best terms for every transaction.
